AMARAS Armenian Free Font
The font is named after Amaras, one of the oldest state-founded Christian monasteries in history, near Sos and Machkalashen villages of Artsakh. It belongs to the Armenian Apostolic Church and is located in the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh, in the territory of the historical Artsakh province of Armenia. Amaras was founded in the 4th century by St. Gregory the Illuminator. Mesrop Mashtots, the inventor of Armenian writing, later founded the first school in Amaras Monastery, which began to use his writing around 410.
The creation of the anatomy of the font was influenced by futurism and techno style, taking into account the traditional features of the letters of the Armenian alphabet.
Let's not forget our roots, be loyal to them and work for the future...
